Our Story
Kentucky · Since 2012
Born from passion
A family of reptile keepers turned a backyard breeding hobby into Kentucky's most-loved exotic shop.
Exotic Scavengers began in 2012 as a small operation in a Lexington garage — a shared obsession with ball pythons, leopard geckos and the unbelievable diversity of cold-blooded life. Today we're a 6,000 sq ft destination housing over 100 species, an in-house exotic vet clinic, and a fully stocked supply showroom.
Our mission has never changed: elevate reptile keeping in Kentucky and beyond. Every animal in our care is hand-fed, properly socialized, parasite-screened and health-guaranteed. We breed responsibly, source ethically, and educate enthusiastically.
Whether you're picking up your very first crested gecko or building a bioactive paludarium for a 15-year-old monitor, we're here for the long haul. Welcome to the family.

The face behind every scale.
Dr. Rawlings is a board-certified exotic veterinarian with over a decade of hands-on experience caring for reptiles, amphibians and birds. She personally hand-raises every animal that crosses our doorway — no broker chains, no middlemen.
When she's not in the clinic, you'll find her giving school talks with her macaw co-pilot or photographing newly hatched ball pythons.
